What Is This Event?

We are a monthly meet-up designed to support Black Entrepreneurs with starting and growing their businesses. This is a PRIVATE event for active Black Entrepreneurs, those wanting to become Entrepreneurs, and Investors looking to support the community.

The Culture

Our culture is our strongest asset, and we have a give first mindset.

We are here to help each other, and that happens in 3 ways:

1. Helping each other with valuable warm introductions to move our businesses forward

2. Giving advice on problems that we are currently facing and how to overcome them

3. Giving encouragement and support for others to progress and grow

The Format For Presenters:

We have structured the event by breaking up into groups. Each group will have 5 Entrepreneurs presenting their business and a problem they are having. After a brief presentation, there is Q&A and then brainstorming on how to help the presenter. Each person should follow the format below:

5 Minutes

Pitch Your Business

  • Briefly describe your business in 3-5 sentences.

  • What Is The Target Market?
  • What is the stage of the company?

  • What kind of traction do you have?

  • Who is your team?

3 Minutes

Discuss Your Next Steps and Problems

What is your most impeding

problem that you need to solve?

What are you planning to do next?

10 Minutes

Brainstorming With The Group

Answer questions on clarifying parts of the business.

Give feedback, suggestions or stories.

See what warm introductions you can make.

2 Minutes

Goal Setting For Next Month

Set your goals for next months and share them with the group.

Write down who you are connecting with and be sure to follow through!

The Location

We will meet at the WeWork on TimeSquare. Because this a structured event designed to maximize the value of all participants, it is important that you are on time.

We Are Here To Learn First

To Entrepreneurs: Please try not overwhelm investors with pitches. Leverage their network and knowledge, remember the goal of this is to progress your business.

To Investors: You have listened to many pitches, worked with many businesses, and have many connections. Please be willing to help start-ups move forward with advice and connections.

What You Should leave With

01

A Stronger Network

We are here to network and help each other. You should leave with valuable new connections, friendships, and the feeling of belonging to a strong support group.

02

Warm-Introductions

Helping each other means making the right introductions. If you think someone in your network can help another Entrepreneur, make the intro.

03

Next Steps For Your Business

We all have problems we need solved to move forward. By brainstorming, we should have a clear path how to move our businesses forward.

04

Accountability

Meetings are only once month. At the end of each meeting, everyone should have their next steps shared with the group. You are now accountable in achieving your goals.
